Artsy-Fartsy won the Colorado Book Award and the Mountains & Plains Booksellers Association Regional Book Award!
At the Colorado Book Awards ceremony in Aspen on June 25, Artsy-Fartsy won the award for juvenile fiction. The awards "recognize outstanding contributions by Colorado authors and illustrators." Nice plaque and shiny gold stickers! On the same day, we learned that Artsy-Fartsy had beat out 7 large press titles for the Mountains & Plains Booksellers Association Regional Book Award in the children's chapter book category. This award honors the most outstanding book set in the 12-state region.
Creative Child magazine also bestowed Artsy-Fartsy recently with its Seal of Excellence. And last month, Artsy-Fartsy took the bronze in Foreword Reviews Book of the Year Award contest in juvenile fiction. BOTYA honors the best books published by independent publishers from across the country.
